A range of other funding bodies have supported the research programme (primarily through funding to WWT) including PSTERIC, The Heritage Council, Coillte, Action Renewables, the BBC, and the Quarry Products Association. The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) have been a highly significant contributor via postgraduate (Richard Inger 2003-2006; Xavier Harrison 2007-2010) and postdoctoral grants (Dr Richard Inger 2008-2012) to Dr Stuart Bearhop, as well as through usage of SUERC facilities at East Kilbride.
The very significant support of the Icelandic Institute of Natural History (IINH) must also be acknowledged in addition to a recent grant to Dr Gudmundur Gudmundsson from the Icelandic Research Council.
Last but not least the IBGRG team, collaborators and network of observers contribute massively to this project. Singling out our cannon-netters and our resighting co-ordinator in particular for massive and outstanding contributions to this project.
